1. Agricultural Equipment Technician – Western Canada

 

Our client, Rocky Mountain Equipment (RME) is one of Canada’s largest agriculture and industrial equipment dealership networks with branches located throughout the Western Canadian prairie provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The company is primarily focused around the CASE and New Holland brands. Through its network of RME locations, the company sells, rents and leases new and used agriculture and industrial equipment and offers product support to its customers. Rocky Mountain Equipment is looking for skilled agricultural equipment technicians to join its team of almost 1,000 employees.

Terms of Employment: Full time (40 hours per week)

Number of positions:  Multiple openings across Western Canada

Salary: Canadian $27.00- $33.00 per hour/gross plus performance bonuses.

Location: Various locations across Western Canada

Contract Duration: One or two year contract with the possibility to extend and remain in Canada as a permanent resident.

Anticipated start date: 1st half of 2017

Job Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Diagnose and inspect equipment for faults and malfunctions
  • Repair and adjust equipment and replace defective parts
  • Perform updates, pre-season delivery inspections, and pre-season inspections
  • Complete work orders and enter technician notes into the computer
  • Order parts and provide quotes

Job Requirements and Qualifications Include:

  • Good English language ability is REQUIRED.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Experience working with Heavy Equipment
  • Specific experience working on CASE Agriculture Equipment (strong asset)
  • Driver’s License
  • Possess problem solving skills
  • Travel may be required

Education: No Specific Requirements

Experience: Minimum 24 or more months of relevant mechanical experience preferred.

2. Service Manager (Agriculture) – Western Canada

Rocky Mountain Equipment is looking for Service Managers for several of its agricultural dealerships across Western Canada.

 

Sector: Agriculture (Agricultural Equipment)

Terms of Employment: Full time (40 hours per week)

Number of positions:  Multiple openings across Western Canada

Wage: Canadian $80,000-$90,000/ gross annual salary plus bonuses

Location:  Various locationss across Western Canada

Contract Duration: Two year contract with the possibility to extend and remain in Canada as a permanent resident.

Job Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Direct, coach, mentor and delegate effectively to the service staff
  • Monitor budgetary and financial responsibilities
  • Oversee all planning, administration and general management issues, including the day-to-day supervision of staff, and overseeing work organized by team leaders and direct reports
  • Maintain high level of integrity as signing authority for items such as internal work orders
  • Ensure bottom line profitability for Services
  • Ability to be decisive with departmental personnel turnover which includes anticipatory needs
  • Ensure the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment is maintained at the highest level

Job Requirements and Qualifications Include:

 

  • Solid knowledge of technical aspects of agriculture and materials handling
  • Strong computer and typing skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet
  • Strong understanding of labour and bill out rates from service department, as well as piece ranking reports, asset turnover, and inventory control
  • Licensed Heavy Duty or Agricultural Equipment Mechanic preferred

Education: No specific requirements

3.  Cabinetmaker              

Our client, Marcor Woodwork in Calgary, Alberta has been manufacturing quality architectural millwork throughout Canada and the USA for over 20 years.  Marcor Woodwork’s manufacturing includes all varieties of interior custom woodwork, such as doors, frames, cabinets, counters, displays, bars, wall panels, casings, furniture, work stations, boardroom tables and fixtures.

Number of Positions:  Three

Job Location:  Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Duration:  One or two year contract that can be extended and lead to Canadian permanent residence

Wages:   Canadian $25.00- $30.00 gross hourly wage for 44 hours per week (wage depends on experience)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Cabinetmaker
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Cabinetmaker

Required Skills:

–           Must be comfortable with custom cabinet making

–             Must be able to communicate well in English.

–           Able to read and interpret shop drawings

–           Operation of woodworking machines, power saws, jointers, mortises and shapers

–           Use of hand tools to cut, shape and form parts and components

–           Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units using glue, clamps and reinforce joints using nails, screws and or other fasteners

–           Prepare and apply solid surfaces, veneers and laminates

–           Design and make templates, jigs and fixtures for production

 

Responsibilities/Duties:

–           Ability to work safely and independently

–           Ability to work well with others

–           Ability to communicate with fellow employees and customers as required

–            CNC programming and operation (an asset)

–           Sand surfaces in preparation for veneers, laminates, stain or polish

–           Laminating of plastic laminates, veneers

Job Duties

Organize and oversee the operations of cheese production;

Develop processing schedules and maintain an inventory of raw materials;

Direct a quality control inspection system;

Plan equipment maintenance schedules and recommend the replacement or repair of machines where required;

Utilize and apply HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) knowledge in cheese making process;

Utilize and apply CIP (Cleaning in Place) and SIP (Sanitizing in Place) systems knowledge in cheese making process;

Utilize and apply HTST (High Temperature Shot Time) Pasteurization Process in cheesemaking process.

5. Drywall Installers, Drywall Finishers and Lathers (Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta, Canada)

Terms of employment: Full time (40 hours per week)

Number of positions:   Ten

Duration: One to two year contract that can be extended and possibly lead to Canadian permanent residence

Location of Work: Calgary and Edmonton in Alberta, Canada

Salary: Qualified workers will be offered rates starting at Canadian $25.00 CAD an hour. This is the gross hourly wage.

Anticipated Start Date:  1st half of 2017

Basic Qualifications:

  • Completion of high school.
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English is required.
  • Good knowledge of residential/commercial drywall application is required
  • 2-3 Years of experience is required

 

Job Duties: 

 

Drywall Installers:

     

  • Measure cut, fit and install drywall sheets
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wood studs or joists
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners

 

 Drywall Finishers:

 

  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seam and joints
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife
  • Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry

 

Lather Specific Skills:

 

  • Prepare wall and ceiling layouts
  • Cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts, and electrical outlets
  • Install vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation
  • Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied
